Description
Step into a warm Athenian home and unlock the secrets of classic Greek cooking with a hands‑on phyllo‑making class led by Christina — a passionate chef deeply rooted in her family’s culinary traditions. From simple flour and water to impossibly thin, paper‑like dough, you’ll learn to roll your own phyllo from scratch, then assemble a traditional pie with seasonal fillings like wild greens and creamy Greek cheeses.
After the cooking lesson, sit down and feast together: enjoy the homemade spanakopita you’ve prepared along with other seasonal dishes, paired with a glass of wine or tsipouro and finished off with a sweet Greek dessert. If you opt for the full experience, you start with a stroll through Athens’ local markets — visiting cheese- and olive‑oil shops, a bakery, and other charming neighborhood vendors — to gather fresh ingredients and soak up real food‑culture vibes.
This class is perfect for anyone — from first‑time cooks to food lovers familiar with kitchens — and offers more than just recipes. It’s a heartfelt taste of Greek life: home cooking, shared laughter, local ingredients, and cultural stories you won’t find in guidebooks.
